AG sues asphalt pavers operating in Rawlins County

TOPEKA – (June 11, 2014) – Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt today announced that his office has filed a lawsuit against a door-to-door paving group operating in Rawlins County. Schmidt is asking consumers who have interacted with the company for assistance in the investigation.

Will J. Harrison, Jr., doing business as Wester Construction and Will Harrison Paving, is being investigated for alleged violations of the Kansas Consumer Protection Act in a door-to-door driveway paving operation.

The Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division received a complaint from a consumer in Rawlins County regarding the practices of these individuals.

Consumers who have done business with these individuals or any of their associated companies are encouraged to contact the Attorney General’s Office by calling 1-800-432-2310 or by filing a complaint online at www.ag.ks.gov.

The lawsuit was filed Tuesday in Shawnee County District Court, case number 2014-CV-552, State ex rel Schmidt v. Harrison et al.
