Bail Enforcement Agent Licensing

Under the provisions 2016 House Bill 2056, on and after July 1, 2016, "bail enforcement agents" operating in Kansas must obtain a license from the Kansas Attorney General.

Temporary regulations have been approved by the State Rules and Regulations Board.

Permanent regulations have also been proposed, and open to public comment. A hearing on the proposed permanent regulations will be conducted on Thursday, September 8, 2016, at 10 a.m. in the 2nd Floor Auditorium of the Memorial Hall State Office Building, 120 SW 10th Ave, Topeka, KS.
