Statement from Kansas Attorney General’s Office on Trego County investigation

WAKEENEY – (February 21, 2014) –On Thursday, February 20, in WaKeeney, agents of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation and WaKeeney Police Department arrested Scott R. Bollig, 30, of WaKeeney, on suspicion of murder and domestic battery. Bond has been set at $500,000. The investigation remains ongoing. Formal charges have not been filed at this time.

Any criminal prosecution resulting from the investigation will be handled by the Kansas Attorney General’s Office at the request of the Trego County Attorney. Any charges that might arise from this investigation are merely accusations. Individuals are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
