GREENSBURG – (November 16, 2011) – A judge today sentenced Mark H. Ralstin, 40, to 165 months in prison for his wife’s murder, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt announced.
A jury convicted Ralstin in July of intentional second-degree murder of his wife, Bobbi Jo Ralstin. The crime occurred on November 6, 2009, at the Ralstins’ home near Mullinville, in rural Kiowa County. The case was tried before Chief Judge Daniel Love of the 16th Judicial District in the Kiowa County Courthouse.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant Attorneys General Steve Karrer and Travis Harrod. The Kansas Bureau of Investigation and Kiowa County Sheriff’s Office investigated the crime.
