Appropriate signage for prohibiting concealed handguns in public and private buildings

To post, trim the graphic so there is at least 1 inch of white space outside of the red circle. The graphic must be at least 6 inches in diameter on a sign that measures 8x8 inches or greater. If larger, than 8x8, the graphic must be proportional to the size of the sign. (Example: A 10x10 inch sign must have an 8-inch diameter graphic.)

Beginning July 1, 2014, additional signage options have been adopted in accordance with 2014 HB 2578, regarding the open carry of firearms. Click here for more information.

Beginning July 1, 2013, state or municipal buildings which have been exempted from the requirements of 2013 HB 2052 are required to post a new sign stating that the building is exempted. Click here for more information.

In most cases, the posting of an approved sign is required to prohibit the carrying of a concealed weapon in public or private buildings.
