AG Derek Schmidt and partners to announce new public awareness campaign targeting buyers of sex in Kansas

TOPEKA – (July 5, 2018) – Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt on Monday will announce a new statewide public awareness effort targeting the demand for commercial sex, most often with children, which is the driving force behind human sex trafficking. The Demand an End campaign is being launched by the Kansas Attorney General’s Office and nearly 60 partners across Kansas to bring attention to those who purchase sex with minors in our communities. Representatives from law enforcement, state government and organizations that serve human trafficking victims will be on hand to discuss the importance of addressing the demand for commercial sex as part of overall efforts to combat sex trafficking in Kansas.
