AG Schmidt recommends Open Records Act amendment

TOPEKA – (May 6, 2015) – Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt today provided the Legislature’s legal staff a proposed amendment to the Kansas Open Records Act that would extend the statute to cover private emails used to conduct public business pursuant to the official duties of state employees.
