GREENSBURG – (January 2, 2014) – A Comanche County man was sentenced today to more than 12 years in prison after pleading guilty to aggravated battery, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt said.
Gregory Weir, 45, Protection, was sentenced to 154 months in the Kansas Department of Corrections by Judge Van Hampton in Kiowa County District Court. Weir pleaded guilty to the crime in November 2013. The crime occurred in July 2013.
The charge stemmed from an investigation by the Protection Police Department, Comanche County Sheriff’s Office and Kansas Bureau of Investigation. Assistant Attorney General Amanda Voth of Schmidt’s office prosecuted the case.
