INDEPENDENCE – (April 18, 2013) – A Caney man was sentenced today to six years in prison for conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt said.
Kelly Benson, 38, was sentenced to 72 months in the Kansas Department of Corrections by Judge Roger Gossard in Montgomery County District Court. Benson pleaded no contest to the charges last month.
The case was investigated by the Coffeyville Police Department. Assistant Attorney General Greg Benefiel of Schmidt’s office prosecuted the case.
