PARSONS – (March 11, 2013) – An Independence man has been sentenced to 7 years in prison after pleading no contest to methamphetamine charges, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt said.
Stephen Wayne Williams, 49, was sentenced today in Labette County District Court. Judge Robert J. Fleming sentenced Williams to 84 months in the Kansas Department of Corrections. Williams pleaded no contest last month to one count of conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.
The charge stemmed from an investigation by the Parsons Police Department and Labette County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant Attorney General Steve Wilhoft of Schmidt’s office prosecuted the case.
