TOPEKA – (September 5, 2012) – The Kansas Attorney General’s Office and Kansas Bureau of Investigation will sponsor a booth at the State Fair highlighting consumer protection and personal safety information, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt announced today.
“Providing Kansans with the latest information on protecting themselves from scams and crimes is part of the mission of our office,” Schmidt said. “We are excited to once again be participating in the State Fair, one of the state’s largest annual gatherings.
The booth will be in the Meadowlark Building on the fairgrounds in Hutchinson. Staff from the Attorney General’s Office and KBI will be available throughout the fair to answer questions.
Attorney General Schmidt will be at the fair on Saturday, September 8, and available at the booth to answer questions and listen to Kansans’ concerns from 10 a.m. to noon.
The 100th Kansas State Fair opens Friday, September 7 and runs through Sunday, September 16.
