Jury finds Ralstin guilty of Intentional Second-Degree Murder

GREENSBURG – (July 22, 2011) – A jury late Thursday in Greensburg found Mark H. Ralstin, 40, guilty of intentional Second Degree Murder, Kansas attorney general Derek Schmidt announced today.

The victim was Bobbi Jo Ralstin, his wife. The crime occurred on November 6, 2009. The case was tried before Chief Judge Dan Love of the 16th Judicial District in the Kiowa County Courthouse. Mr. Ralstin grew up outside Mullinville, in Kiowa County.

Sentencing will be scheduled by Judge Love at a later date. Ralstin faces a potential prison sentence of 147 to 165 months. The case was prosecuted by Assistant Attorneys General Steve Karrer and Travis Harrod.
