Salina document destruction canceled due to winter weather

TOPEKA – (March 1, 2019) – The free document destruction event scheduled for Salina on Monday, March 4, has been canceled, Kansas Attorney General Derek Schmidt announced.

Due to the updated forecasts for extremely cold temperatures and dangerous wind chill factors on Monday, the event, planned as part of National Consumer Protection Week, has been canceled and will be rescheduled for a later date.

Schmidt advised Kansans to stay safe in the upcoming winter weather. Document destruction events planned for seven other locations in the state the remainder of the week are still scheduled to occur. More information on those events is available at
